Suitability assessment according to insecticides residue analysis which were used against Cherry Fruit Fly, Rhagoletis cerasi L. (Diptera: Tephritidae)

Abstract


Turkey made 54 678 tones cherry export in 2013, 50 521 tones in 2014 and gained estimated 300 million dolars. Cherry Fruit Fly [Rhagoletis cerasi L. (Diptera: Tephritidae)] one of the most important pest in all country which are growing cherries. This study aimed suitability assessment according to insecticide residue analysis which were used against Cherry Fruit Fly [Rhagoletis cerasi L. (Diptera: Tephritidae)] in Afyon, Konya, Çanakkale, Denizli, Isparta, İzmir and Bursa between 2011– 2014. 3 238 cherry samples were extracted according to QuEChERS EN 15662 method and analyzed with LC/MSMS and GC/MSMS devices. 213 of the results of analysis were unsuitable for export to European Union (EU). Growing suitable products decreasing the threat to human healthy and reap a great profit to Turkey economy by unblock one of the most important problem against export to EU.
